Trend report: biker jackets

This fall, designers have gone crazy with the biker jackets. At least one could be seen in almost any collection. Clearly, this is the must-have jacket for fall! Luckily, I already secured mine this spring, and now, it's time to get some real use out of it! I think I'll start today, since the weather reminds me of october anyway...

Siri Tollerød

Norwegian model Siri Tollerød looks absolutely gorgeous in this photo. I love her hair, and I love the dress she is wearing. Though I think a bit of colour on the lips would look better, I guess it's all a part of making the dress stand out in the picture. Her pose is fantastic, as it makes her look strong, yet quite vulnerable. Go Siri!

I heart this outfit!

I love this. It's so bad-ass. Usually I'm more into mixing sweet boho-chic with rock chick, but this is just perfect as it is. Love the little leather jacket, love the heavy silver necklaces, LOVE the ripped up knitted sweater (looks like it's been involved in a fierce cat-fight!), love the patterned tights, and I looove the chunky peep-toe boots. The Coco-look

Thanks to two new movies about her life, Coco Chanels classic sense of style is back on the fashion radar. To be classy and fabulous like Coco, there are a few must-have items: the LDB (little black dress), the quilted bag (a la the Chanel 2.55), the cardigan, the pearl necklace, the boxy tweed jacket and the striped top.

It's what's on the inside that counts

It's always nice to indulge in some lovely lingerie. I love the lacey, soft kind, and by wearing this, it makes me feel a little more luxurious in my otherwise quite ordinary life... Miu Miu, La Perla and Stella McCartney are my all-time favourites, but when the money is needed elsewhere, H&M is just as good.

Easy chic

Olivia Palermo looks fantastic while sipping a cooling drink one hot New York summer-day. Her high waisted denim shorts, black loose top and tousled ponytail, get styled up to Palermo standars by piling on gold chain-necklaces, and adding red nailpolish along with some leopard ballet flats. I feel like copying the whole look right away!

Less is more

You can't go wrong with a black skirt, simple white tee, black gladiator sandals, and an oversized black clutch. Simple elegance. The cute haircut makes the look a little more playful and not too prim.

Today I wish I was wearing this

Skinny jeans teamed with a loose, bright top and a neutral coloured blazer with 3/4 sleeves is perfect for a casual late summer day. By adding studded gladiator sandals, a bag in a matching hue and a pair of statement earrings, the look is brought up to date and made more interesting. Perfect for chilling out at a café with the latest Vogue and a latte.

Fendigirl

Jessica Stam looks absolutely gorgeous in the latest Fendi campain for fall. Love the nailpolish and the fierce heels! She looks like a dark angel or something... Captivating.

Blue eyed girl

Elsa Sylvan
Blue eyes, blond hair, dark, thick eyebrows, pale skin and red-orangy lips. Gorgeous.
Today I am checking out the legendary food festival that always takes place this time of year. I may also end up going shopping. First of all though, a shower and some iced coffee needs to happen.

I wouldn't mind having this in my closet

Dress by Alexander Wang, necklace by Oscar de la Renta, grey tank by Vanessa Bruno, skirt by See by Chloe, clutch by Miu Miu, gladiator sandals by Sigerson Morrison, ankleboots by Guiseppe Zanotti, studded black tote by Bally, red shoulder bag - vintage Chanel, cocktail ring by Lanvin.
Oh, it's like these items are holding a secret power that is pulling me towards them... Sigh!

Dressing in between seasons

Dressing in between seasons. This is a phenonomen that in the rest of the world, usually occurs in august/september, and march/april. In Norway though, we are dressing like this all year. It never really gets hot, and it never gets really, really cold (at least not in my city). So here, in the middle of july, I find myself adding scarves and a little leather jacket to my summer frocks and gladiator sandals. In this phenonomens honour, I created a few polyvore outfits, to give you all some inspiration on how to handle the ever-shifting weather now days. The key is layering. Tops, vests, cardigans, scarves and jackets are essential. Then, as it gets colder, you can add items, and as it gets warmer, you can take them off, and put them into you oversized daybag.

Let the rain come down

Hi my gorgeous readers! I'm back from my holiday in Greece, and coming from 35 degress to 15 degrees and pouring rain, of course I am now sick. Anyway, that doesn't keep me away from drooling at the latest fall fashion, and writing shopping lists for the coming season. I always love it, when a new season is waiting at the door. It is so full of new excitement and hopes, and I can't stop picturing what I will wear to different events when the weather has changed. Here is my shopping list (in my dreams) for the new season f/w 09:

- Thigh high flat leather boots
- A fur vest (faux, of course)
- A structured high waist mini, À la Balenciaga
- A statement necklace
- An off-the-shoulder dress, or top, À la Balmain
- A pair of peep-toe, lace-up ankle boots
- A boyfriend blazer (no, I have not yet bought one, the previous seasons I went for a more structured fit, but now I'm ready)
- A jacket with shoulder pads, À la Balmain

So there you have it. Because my computer, like me, is a little sick today, this post will have to be without any images. But if you feel like udating yourself on the fall fashion, check out www.style.com for all the latest collections.

Now its time for me to yet again curl up in bed with my book and a gigantic cup of tea to keep me warm. Talk to you when I'm better.
